This is available as a downloadable app. A demo is available for free and will display reverse words and/or erase words to show how the app works. For $4.99 you can purchase this app to translate from English to/from Portuguese, Italian, French, Spanish, or German. This would be a worth-while investment if going on a trip outside of the country to a non-English speaking country.
Another form of technology that is beginning to surface is something called Google Glass. This new upcoming technology appears like glasses, however it has all of the capabilities of a smartphone/computer readily available on your face. Translation is also a portion of technology.
