The available resources seem like a fun and resourceful way to understand others visiting another country, or to show off your translation capabilities to a friend. This can be done with the available technology. However there are also available real-time translation capabilities with live-time real people.
In my school, over half of our student population is from a Spanish-speaking home. We have a sign-up sheet at our school during every parent/teacher conferences night for translators. Needless to say the list tends to fill up rather quickly. Due to the limited resource of translators, many teachers do not have access to translators when they need them. Students are often able to translate to their parents, however you can not always be sure if they are saying the same thing you want them to. The Stratus Video Interpreting website is available to explain in further details how to access this downloadable app for live-time real translators.
